On the 7th November MAB staff attended the Right For Sight meeting in Hounslow where, much to their surprise, they received awards from the local council for the support they have been providing in the borough of Hounslow. Senior Operations Manager, Sahib Singh, Employment Service Coordinator, Urfan Ali and MAB’s Chief Executive, Andrew Cox each received a certificate and plaque to mark the occasion. Andrew then received a cheque for £7,667 from the former Mayor of Hounslow, MAB having been one of the Mayor’s appointed charities during 2016-2017.
Sahib has been running and providing our home visiting service to support residents within their home for the past two years as well as setting up and running our monthly VIP Club at Age UK Hounslow. Ali has been successful in helping visually impaired residents back into employment through our Employment Service. Many congratulations to Ali and Sahib on their outstanding work and support to visually impaired people in Hounslow.
