The Association acts as a distributor for the British Wireless for the Blind Fund, supplying radio cassette and CD players directly to people who have sight loss. The sets are specially designed to be easy to operate by those with a visual impairment, offering a vital link to the outside world and allowing people to listen to talking newspapers, audio newsletters and books.
If you are registered blind or partially sighted and are unable to use a standard radio, you may qualify to receive a radio cassette, free of charge and on permanent loan. Our trained volunteers will deliver and demonstrate the equipment in your own home. Currently the service operates across the following London Boroughs: Enfield, Barnet, Harrow, Brent, Hounslow and Richmond. To order a radio please contact our Head Office on 020 8423 5141.
If you do not live within the boroughs that we serve and would like a radio, please click here to apply for a radio through the British Wireless for the Blind Fund website.
