Our main resource centres are located in Harrow and Enfield. The centres allow you to view and try out a wide-range of specialised equipment including daily living aids and equipment for the home. Should you wish to make a purchase we can provide you with the information required. The centres also allow you to meet and talk to our staff who will advise regarding equipment, local services and resources available in your area. In addition to these centres, our mobile resource unit covers the whole Middlesex region providing opportunities to view equipment for those that cannot reach one of our permanent centres. Details of the centres, their locations and resources offered can be found below.
Mobile Resource Unit
The mobile resource unit, with its distinctive livery, can be found at different venues across the Middlesex region. The centre is manned by a permanent member of staff with support from local staff for the region visited to ensure you have all the information you require about equipment and the services available in your region. The resource centre is equipped with magnifiers, talking watches, kitchen equipment, anti-glare glasses and a range of other equipment. We can accommodate all visitors including wheelchair users, so please do look out for the centre when it is in your region and feel free to visit when it is at a place near you. A list of up-and-coming locations can be found on the Mobile Resource Unit page.
Resource Centre mornings are held every Wednesday by appointment only. We can provide advice about the specialised equipment we have for demonstration, which includes: CCTV’s, handheld magnifiers, talking watches and clocks, large print diaries and calendars, anti-glare glasses, kitchen equipment, daily living aids and much more.
