Tricycle Club

We are the proud owners of two, two-seater tricycles. The tricycles allow those with visual impairments to enjoy cycling supported by a sighted guide. We have been able to take the tricycle to parks and gardens for our members to use, including cycling around Kew Gardens. The clubs provide a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in which to meet other members while each member enjoys a leisurely cycle around the park with our sighted guides.

Our Ealing Club meets on the third Tuesday of the month at Walpole Park, Ealing, from 11am to 1pm by the Rickyard Cafe. The club normally commences in the spring and finishes for the year in October. We are indebted to our wonderful volunteers – Derek, and Nick and Barbara from Ealing Cycling Campaign, who act as sighted guides on the trikes and who make cycling around the park such a joyful experience.

Our Richmond Club meets on the second Wednesday of the month at the Coach House Cafe, in Marble Hill Park, Richmond, from 11am to 1pm. We have two wonderful volunteers, Nick and Lucy, who act as sighted guides escorting our members around the park. Please note that due to refurbishment of the cafe and the park the group are currently meeting at The Rising Sun pub opposite the park.

Further details of club events, locations and dates will be available on our Facebook page in due course. For further information about the trike clubs or for information about hiring a trike, please call our office on 020 8423 5141.
