We provide a unique service for people who are blind, partially sighted and deaf/blind to assist, support and enable them to continue to live independently in their own homes.
Rapid Response Counselling
The Rapid Response Service provides counselling and emotional support to those who are having difficulty coming to terms with or adapting to their sight loss.
The mobile resource unit, with its distinctive livery, can be found at different venues across the Middlesex region.
We can help with CV preparation, covering letters and interview skills, as well as advising on potential opportunities for employment and career development.
Braille and I.T. Training
Braille training is provided for all levels of ability, and our I.T. training courses provide an introduction to using a computer and assumes no prior experience.
Telephone Befriending Service
Middlesex Association for the Blind offers our telephone befriending service to clients who are blind or visually impaired. Our telephone befriender helps tackle feelings of isolation and loneliness.
