Are you or someone you know looking to restart or kick start a career despite a visual impairment? Our course, based at our Head Office in Stanmore, and our centre in Ealing is designed to help you gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence you need to succeed in searching for a job and landing that interview.
Over six weeks , you’ll learn face to face from experienced trainers and industry experts in a supportive and accessible environment. We’ll cover topics such as job search strategies, CV writing, interview skills, assistive technology , and how to handle change and transition.
After you have completed the course, you will have access to mentoring and coaching from experienced professionals who will guide you through the job search process and help you develop your career path. Our goal is to help you achieve your career goals and facilitate an equal level playing field in the job application process.
But don’t just take our word for it! Here’s what some of our previous participants have said:
“I feel so much more confident about my job prospects now.” – Nada, 48
“The trainers were fantastic and really went the extra mile to make sure everyone understood.” – Alexis, 22
“I never thought I could work in this field, but now I’m excited to apply for jobs!” – Richard, 61
MAB’s Employment Service understands that every person with a visual impairment is different. As a result, we have fluid processes in place, doing training differently. Our candidates go through a journey of self-acceptance, self-discovery, learning and a clear vision to employment. A benchmark for the sector, enabling people with a visual impairment with the skills and confidence to enter the work arena, for the jobs they want and not what others think they can do because of their visual impairment.
