6th January 2021: Middlesex Association for the Blind remains open despite the UK entering a National Lockdown. If you require information on any of our services, please call us on 0208 423 5141 and we’ll do our best to help. Middlesex Association for the Blind is open Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm.

Middlesex Association for the Blind provides support for people with a visual impairment to help them to lead full, active and independent lives. We support people living in the London Boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Enfield, Harrow, Haringey, Hillingdon, Hounslow and Richmond.

We offer the following range of services to help blind, partially sighted or deaf-blind people.

Rapid Response Service

We provide one-to-one support for people newly diagnosed with a sight impairment. We provide information, advice and guidance for clients according to their needs.

Home Visiting Service

Our team of volunteers and support workers can advise you on living independently in your own home. We provide friendship, support and practical assistance around the house.

Employment Service

Our employment service provides advice to those looking to return to work. We equip people with the skills and confidence to successfully apply for jobs and to develop their career.

Braille and I.T. Training

Our I.T. and Braille training provide skills to help you in accessing information and services, allowing you to read braille and access online resources as well as using email.

Resource Centres

Our local resource centres allow you to get advice as well as allowing you to try out specialised equipment and technologies for the home and when out-and-about.

Mobile Resource Unit

Our mobile resource unit visits across the region allowing you to try out specialised equipment and technologies within your local area. The times, dates and locations for the unit are listed online.

Equipment For Sale

We sell second-hand equipment including electronic magnifiers, talking clocks and watches, lighting and big button phones. Visit our eBay page for current equipment for sale or contact us on 020 8423 5131 for further information or to try out equipment.


We provide information help desks in local hospital eye clinics providing counselling, support, advice and information for those coming to terms with a visual impairment.
